STORAGE CONDITIONS FRUIT & VEGETABLES QUALITY ELEMENTS:
The quality of green produce is caused by four main elements:
Variety. The exterior & flavor of fruit and vegetables mainly depends on variety.
Planting conditions. Weather conditions, soil composition & agricultural methods cause the crop’s quality & flavor.
Harvesting & packaging. It's as important to grow a good crop, as to keep it good over time. Proper harvesting, sizing & packaging preserves taste & flavor of fruit & vegetables during the long-time storage.
Transporting & storing in accordance with regulations. In order to supply our customers with fruit & vegetables of high quality all over the season, we control the “green produce” at all levels on the way from the farm to the distributor’s warehouse.
FRUIT & VEGETABLES WAREHOUSING:
Royal Fresh keeps the proper light & humidity conditions to save fruit & vegetables fresh during
long-term warehousing. The storage temperature depends on kind of a fruit or vegetable.
Fruit & vegetables should be divided into two big groups:
The storage temperature of 1 to 3 degrees Celsius above zero is preferable for the first group.
The second group needs the higher temperature – from 6 to 10 degrees Celsius above zero.
The correct warehousing way preserves vitamins, usability & attractive exterior of fruit & vegetables during the whole shelf life. Just due to the strict control of the facts, mentioned before, our produce stays fresh & saves perfect marketable state.
