Blueberry
Blueberry is the vacciniaceous plant, the close relative of the blackberry. This berry is known for its eating qualities & medicinal properties. Though the blueberry is less tasty than blackberry, its berries are 1,5-2 times bigger & reach the ripe-cherry’s size. The main global exporters of blueberries are Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, USA, Italy, Poland & Spain. Blueberries are shipped in Russia mainly from the South & Central American countries (Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Peru). The volume share of Georgian blueberries increases. According to “Freshplaza” experts the blueberries output in Mexico expands pace of 53% since 2005 till 2015. The most volume is planted in such states as Galisko, Kolima, Baya, California. USA is the biggest consumer of Mexican blueberries.
Royal Fresh Company imports blueberries from Mexico & Georgia. The Mexican blueberries are available from August till May, the Georgian – from May till July.
